When a castle replants its future, tree by tree
Christmas is coming, and the Château-parc of Meung-sur-Loire invites everyone to take a meaningful step: buy a tree to be part of the revival of a historic park and pass on a living landscape to future generations.
A living heritage project
For the last fifteen years, the Château de Meung‑sur‑Loire has been carrying out an ambitious program to restore its architectural and landscape heritage. Today, the historic park is entering an important phase of work, gradually reclaiming its original design: avenues of lime trees, recovered perspectives, ponds, and topiaries.
Through a public sponsorship initiative, the château invites people to take part in the adventure : planting 150 lime trees to restore the historic grand avenues of the park !
Sponsor a tree: a tangible gesture
For €38, each participant can sponsor a lime tree, permanently planted in the park. Each tree will be labelled with the sponsor’s name, making this gesture both symbolic and lasting. A concrete way to contribute on passing on a living landscape to future generations.
The trees will be planted along the walkways of the park’s historic, according to the plan on the left, in the respect for the landscape design of the original.
How it works?
Steps :
- Buy a lime tree online in just a few clicks via our secure platform.
- Provide the name to be placed on the tree.
- The tree is planted in the park. Your contribution becomes a living part of the landscape: a map shows the location of your tree.
- Your name grows with the park. A lasting, visible gesture that will be passed down through time.
